It is our final official day of this course. I wanted to exit the course with a word of thank you to Alice Brode our instructor and all of the other AQ Candidates here who posted and shared on the discussion board as well as responding to our work. The material created by this group has been heartening and inspiring. I am excited to move forward with this AQ under my belt to be able to teach Media Art again.

Even without an official media class on our rosters, we can still use the information about media and social media to help guide our students to effectively navigate the digital world as well as encourage them to move forward towards options available to them in the Media Art field.

It is a part of our responsibility as media art educators to help our young people use media and digital arts for the good of others. We can do this by modelling good practices and sharing experiences with them. Moving forward, I look forward to building on the knowledge and resources we have built here to serve our students to the best of my ability, for the benefit of our communities and society.

In Taiwan, I was fortunate enough to get to spend time with this wonderful group of women and their dogs I lovingly refer to as my 'Dog Mamas.' We met every night after work at a local park where we talked, walked, shared food and laughs as well as cared for the local pack of dogs as our dogs played together and with the pack. By the end of my stay, we banded together to spay/neuter & vaccinate all of the dogs in the pack. The impact these women had on who I have become is immense and although my ability to speak Chinese has dwindled and I cannot read it (other than a menu and street signs) , we share love through dog photos on Facebook from across the world. These women taught me so much about the goodness of community.
